The location is perfect. Our room was very clean and comfy, with a view on the harbour. The owner, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very homely. The breakfast was super, and many locals choose the place for meeting in the morning. A local painter, Mark, offers very good on demand painting courses coupled with your stay at the House on the Props. It was a full immersion in the real Cornish life. We would recommend it highly, if you are looking for a genuine experience.
The location is perfect. The room was perfect. We had the harbour view room, and that was having a live picture to watch all day and night with all the lights reflecting on the water,perfect to just chill. Great choice of pubs serving great local produce within 500yds.

Location and view spectacular
A beautiful location and a wonderful breakfast, everything home made. The staff were friendly and polite. We also had lunch on one of the days, a very tasty fish Chowder.

What a fantastic and lovely stay we had here. Polperro really is a special place. From arrival we received such a warm and genuine welcome. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Claire and all her staff. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We appreciated the quirkiness of staying in 300+ year old property full of rich history. What a view from our window. Our daily included breakfast was an unexpected treat, fresh and cooked to order with a good variety of choices. Our favourite was the local made yogurt served with fresh fruit and honey. If you are wanting a stay that feels like a home away from home with genuinely kind and lovely people, this is the place for you!

Terrific location by harbour. Historic and atmospheric property full of character. Quiet (no traffic) and extremely comfortable. Bedroom beautifully furnished. Excellent breakfasts, lovely hosts. Great value for money. Highly recommended. NB Quirky staircases to upper floors would not suit everyone, but all part of the historic charm. Ground floor provides a super cafe during the daytime popular, with locals and visitors alike.
Everything! We visited Porpello for our honeymoon ten years ago and wanted to return for our tenth anniversary. When I saw the photos of The House on the Props I couldn't resist booking and am so glad I did. It's actually even more stunning than the photos suggest. In fact, I spent the first ten minutes in the room walking around, mouthing 'wow' as I took in the view. You really couldn't ask for a more incredible location, nor stunning B&B. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and accommodating and the food, wow! There's a reason they've been voted Best Breakfast in Polperro. Our visit was absolutely magical, thank you.
